I recently visited The Miami Beach Edition Hotel, one of The Ritz-Carlton’s newest properties that opened late 2014. I would like to start off by saying that my experience in Miami would have never been so great if it wasn’t for this hotel. Upon arriving, the valet and doorman insisted on opening doors, taking my luggage, and probably carrying me to the desk if they could have. I instantly was on vacation mode thanks to them. The concierge was more than the queen of hospitality, she was so kind, making me feel right at home. Once I tapped my swanky, perfectly branded, white key against the door lock and opened up to my modern contemporary bungalow room, I knew it was going to be a weekend for the books. The hotel is paired with restaurant Matador Room, a Jean Georges creation that no less than what I would expect at a hotel like the Edition. The food was incredible, perfect portions for sharing and trying everything, plus what is vacation if you are not going to stuff your face with great food. The weekend was filled with soaking up sunshine by the pool and on the private beach with sunglasses on and a drink . . . or two in hand. The pools, the canopies, the architecture and hidden gems that The Miami Beach Edition has to offer will make your Miami Beach weekend getaway one to remember.
